"I love my guts" but my guts don't love me!
I'm glad that someone finally started a group for this. I've had UC for 2 years now; it's a light case of it, but it's still affected me.

I'll be walking for prevention and treatment of IBD related diseases this month actually :D Which is something I've wanted to do for a long time as well.
It's hard not to be affected by it. I had ulcerative colitis too, but since I've had surgery I'm technically cured of it.

I've always wanted to do a marathon or walk for IBD! I've done the aids walk before and volunteered at a chronic illness camp for kids too, but that's something I've never really been able to do just yet. Maybe sometime soon though :) Good luck with yours!
Yeah. I just have a minor case of it. Like...one or two ulcers in the lower part of the colon or something. It's in remmission now, so I only take the rectal rockets when it comes up.

Lol I got so excited when I got the letter in the mail from my GI. XD I also wish people recognized the diseases more. I know it's not as bad as AIDS and cancer and stuff, but I wish it was known more. People just don't know that the purple support ribbon also stands for IBD. Lol
Yeah, I know what you mean. I actually didn't know about the purple ribbon until about a year ago :depressed: but I've met a pretty decent amount of people that do know about things like IBD though. It's kind of cool when that happens :D
